a month agoThe best thing about this restaurant was the fantastic service. The waiter was kind, helpful, diligent, and observant of our needs. The food was subpar. It was bland and had a processed quality about it. The biscuits and gravy both tasted like they had come from a store instead of homemade. The pancakes were ok nothing amazing. Honestly the biggest complaint was the chairs. They were so incredibly uncomfortable. Both my husband and I had to sit awkwardly due to the chairs. Our little even had trouble with them. The atmosphere was quiet and calm but not overly kid friendly. The bathroom was so small and inconvenient placed that its a tight fit if your too tall or plus sized. The entire bathroom is the size of a wallmart bathroom stall.

3 months agoWe stopped here looking for home style cooked food, they delivered! The decor is great for the 50s theme and name of this Cafe. We enjoy breakfast here , the biscuits are very good and the Chili ! Everything is made from scratch and you can tell. Services was polite and steady.

3 months agoNothing particularly wrong with this place, but nothing really to hype it up for either. Had the chicken fried steak and eggs breakfast. They were good, the home fries were not too good though. Biscuit was tough but the gravy was good. Coffee sat empty a little too long but all in all I would likely stop here again if I was driving by.

4 months agoCute cafe! We enjoyed country fried steak, eggs, biscuits and gravy along with hashbrowns. Plenty of food at a very decent price. Service was great and very friendly. Husband has returned and had fish sandwich and said it was also great. They had tables instead of booths. That's great

8 months ago$15 +tip for a BLT, fries w/gravy and coffee. It was nothing to get excited about. There was a lot of bacon on it. The bread was so hard it fell apart(turned to xtra toasty crumbs) taking a bite and the tomato was old and soggy. I was finished with my meal before I could get the waitress to get me a coffee refill. The fries and gravy were really good and there was plenty of parking. The hostess/cashier was very nice and welcoming. Something else kind of strange was the young waitress was very friendly with locals and barely competent with travelers like myself. Overall it was just ok.

8 months ago50’s Café is a retro gem! Fun vintage décor, friendly service, and delicious classic diner breakfast. The French toast was good, bacon perfectly crisp, and eggs cooked just right. A cozy, welcoming spot that makes you feel like a regular from the moment you walk in. Highly recommend!

9 months agoWe are in town camping out for the weekend at the KOA park. A nice little getaway. We dropped the camper and went searching for dinner. We didn't have to travel far. 50's Cafe is less than a mile away. My wife ordered a cheeseburger and fries, I ordered the 3 piece catfish dinner. Just remember, as the sign says on the front entrance, "We are not a fast food restaurant." What other way would you expect your catfish to be prepared other than fresh out the grease. Cheeseburger made with fresh hand pressed ground beef. If you are traveling I-24 heading to Paducah, get off on exit 27, take a break from traveling, and stop by the restaurant. It's located a very short distance from the interstate. Family owned and operated. Thanks for the excellent customer service and experience. Special thanks to Hailey and the cook.

11 months agoCute, local cafe on the side of the road just off the interstate. Very Vibey!! I’m gonna try this place again. They had so many choices & I had a hard time picking so I chose catfish. It was not good. Very greasy and not fresh. The white beans & hush puppies were wonderful. Jeremy (server) was prompt & friendly, however, he can get real busy. The decor was super cute & the AC worked really well. Plenty parking & the one restroom was clean.
